Our family is beyond heartbroken and devastated to share that my Aunt Tanya Minjarez left us yesterday evening 4/21. My cousins and I will forever remember her as “Auntie Crazy” who embarrassed us as kids, driving us around in her “pinto” like car, bumpin’ oldies; dancing and singing like no one was watching. In these last few days I have read comments calling her a true friend, a solid person, a true blue queen; all in which I can agree with 100%.
For the past few months, her health has been slowly declining as she continued her battle with Parkinson’s over the last 16 years. Recently, her admission to the hospital was the result of hitting the advanced stages of her disease which triggered difficulty in breathing among a huge wave of other health risks to follow. We were unaware that her loss would be the end result of her hospital stay. Our sadness and shock grow in every moment.
She spent these last few months living with my Aunt India and Uncle Ramon who dedicated much of their time to care for her and made sure she was constantly surrounded by family and others who loved her.
We will share information on arrangements in the coming days. In the meantime, please consider a contribution to support a proper memorial and beautiful home where she may Rest In Peace.
