Memorial Fund for Tanya Crisman-Fatal Car Accident
Donation protected
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to share the unexpected passing of Tanya Crisman. On Thursday, February 22, 2024, Tanya was involved in a devastating head on collision in Amboy, WA. It was a beautiful sunny day. Tanya was excited about getting a new set of tires for her car when another driver crossed the center line and hit Tanya head on. As they waited for rescue services to arrive, many reassured Tanya that help was on the way. The damage to her vehicle was extensive and required extraction measures by first responders. Unfortunately, despite all life saving measures, Tanya succumbed to her injuries in route to the hospital. As a single mother, Tanya leaves behind her 19 year old daughter Madi, her 12 year old son Gregory, her mother Dawn, her father Keith, her step mom Sherry and many extended family members. Keith and Sherry drove through the night from California to be with her children and help Dawn during this difficult time.
Tanya loved her children fiercely. She worked hard to support her family, even through chemotherapy when she was diagnosed with breast cancer years ago. More recently, Tanya became the power of attorney for her mother Dawn’s care, navigating medical appointments and dialysis. Tanya was helping Gregory through online school at home and supporting Madi as she moved into her first apartment and started a new job, all while working full time. She was a fighter and her laughter was contagious. She was known for her loud and boisterous voice. She would light up a room instantly, mostly because her presence was hard to ignore! Everybody who knew her, knows that she had the most generous, caring, and giving heart. She worked locally as the kitchen manager at Nick’s Bar and Grill, so Tanya knew so many in her small town. Even if you weren’t immediate family, Tanya considered you family. She was the corner stone of her family, her workplace and loved by all that met her. She will be missed tremendously.
While the family is recovering, we are asking for your assistance and support. They are all left with the grueling responsibility of organizing and funding her cremation, memorial service, sorting through and moving her belongings, relocating her mother Dawn with family who can continue her care and making sure Gregory and Madi are taken care of. Madi at the young age of 19 had just moved into her first apartment started a new job. She is now having to take time off work to coordinate laying her mother to rest. Her father Keith and step mom Sherry will need help over the next few weeks to assist Madi in this emotionally exhausting process. Tanya did not have a life insurance policy or money set aside to cover these expenses.
All funds will go directly to the family for the memorial service, cremation, to support her children, moving expenses and temporary local housing for Tanya’s parents while they are sorting through these horrific circumstances. It is in times of sadness and loss when people can come together to help one another make it through. Any support you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Please keep Tanya’s family in your thoughts and prayers and thank you for supporting them through this unimaginable loss and horrific tragedy.
