Tanner's ongoing medical expenses

Hello, my name is Christy and I am trying to raise funds for expenses associated with my 20 year old son Tanner Woodruff's ongoing medical care.

On June 27th, 2021 Tanner was in a rollover car accident traveling at approximately 60mph when he fell asleep at the wheel.

Tanner sustained multiple injuries that included multiple facial fractures, a shattered vertebrae on his L3 vertebrae, tears to his spinal fluid sack, and fractures in his right ankle.

As a result of these injuries he has since had 3 major surgeries. The first was an emergency spinal surgery that took 7 hours where they removed his L3 vertebrae and did a spinal fusion on his L1 through L4 vertebrae.

The second surgery was to have screws placed in his ankle and the 3rd surgery was facial reconstruction surgery to reattach his upper jaw, repair his split pallet, and reattach his nasal bones back to his skull.

Tanner is currently admitted to Legacy Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon to begin his long road to recovery as of 7/14/2021.

Miraculously Tanner is expected to make a full recovery though it could take a year or more. He currently has very little sensation from his mid thigh down so therefore he will likely be wheelchair bound for a while once he returns home.

In the meantime he will be in inpatient rehab for about 4 weeks. I am making daily trips (150 miles round trip) to be with him and aid in his care and recovery.

These daily trips are becoming expensive and hard on my vehicle, my body, and is taking away from time that could be spent with him and the rest of my family so I would like to rent an Air BnB for a month with some of the funds raised to ease some of that stress.

The rest of the funds would be utilized to get the dental work he will need done once he is back home. He will need a tooth implant for his front tooth that came out when his pallet split and braces to correct his bite. The facial surgery partially fixed the bite but they said the rest will need to be done with orthodontics.

At this time those are the most pressing concerns for us. We would be ever so greatful and appreciative of any help we can get with the things listed and also any other unforseen expenses we may incur.
