Tanner's Journey: Honoring His Battle

 

 

Update: Tanner’s beautiful soul fought as hard as it could and has now passed on. He left this world on April 27th 2022. His family is now asking for any support to help with left over bills and funeral expenses. 

Tanner is a beautiful special needs child with Down Syndrome and Autism. He has a charismatic personality that loves his music, stuffed animals, riding in the car, looking at water towers and watching baseball. He first battled Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2020, and his cancer went into remission. Unfortunately, Tanner began feeling unwell recently, and he was diagnosed with cancer a second time. He is undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Duke Children's Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. It has been determined that he will also need to have a bone marrow transplant in the near future.

Tanner is in great need of support for himself and his mom, who is his primary caregiver. The funds raised will go towards gas (transportation to Duke), food, hotel stays and medical costs. Tanner is fighting for his life daily, and on his journey, the kindness and support from caring people will go a very long way in his healing and recovery.
