My name is Tanner Mack, a little about me. I'm 16 and rock climbing is my passion. I live on top of Mt. Lemmon, a 9,000-foot Sky Island in the Sonoran desert of Arizona. I've grown up here my entire life and spend every free moment I can outside enjoying nature. Living up here climbing came naturally to me. Climbing has blossomed from just an after school activity to my passion in life.  It has shaped who I have become. It has taught me a work ethic, many life lessons, and how to work with a team. 

I have recently been accepted to The Climbing Academy. The Academy’s philosophy on education states “The Climbing Academy offers our students a totally unique and personal experience where the world becomes your classroom, your teammates, teachers & coaches become your family, and climbing becomes your vessel of exploration. We are a privately accredited college-prep high school that offers an ambitious curriculum in science, math, history, literature, language, and electives. If you want to engage in a culture of learning while seeing the world from the remote locations of the best rock there is, we encourage you to take a greater look at what this unique experience can offer.” All the money raised will help me cover; tuition, airfare, and new gear needed for the academic year. I’m hoping to raise these funds by  September 5, 2016.

Imagine you have the chance to live your life long dream. Traveling around the world and climbing the best rock, while getting a college-prep education. This is my dream and it’s staring me in the face. However without your support I won’t be able to attend this school, or live my life long dream.
