Tanner Hollingshead Memorial & Medical Bill Fund
Donation protected
With broken hearts we are grieved to announce that our beloved friend, brother, son, and husband Tanner Hollingshead passed away on February 9th, 2021 at his home in Springville, UT.
For those who knew Tanner, you know he had a passion for all things in life at one point or another. He was an explorer in his own right, and enjoyed learning everything he could. He was a man who loved and gave willingly to all around him. A friend who enjoyed a friend, and a mighty warrior in the eyes of his loved ones. Tanner was a gift to the world.
For those who didn't know Tanner well enough, you may not have known the life of struggles that he had to endure. Tanner's life was full of battles from all angles. He fought these battles physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Some of the battles came from outside influences while others were an unforeseen yet visible display of conflict.
Regardless of the type of struggles, he did everything he could to work through them and humbly asked for help as he searched to find his true meaning in life. He tried every angle, every avenue, every resource, but ultimately he could not find the place within him to rest his soul daily and enjoy a moment of peace. In his mind he was fighting a never-ending battle.
Though we don't know all his thoughts at the time, we believe he truly felt he had tried everything to make this life work. As we see the events that unfolded over this past week, we can see that he did everything he felt he could to make one last attempt at finding the peace he so deeply yearned for. When this didn't happen, the will to live finally broke loose and he decided to take his life.
This is not an easy thing to write about, but we wish to convey that we have absolutely no blame against him for thinking and feeling the way he did. He was a warrior that had all his armor ripped from him, shields spliced, and sword withered with rust. We love and miss him so dearly and invite you to join us in our grief and love for an amazing man.
With all that said, the last thing anyone wants to figure out is how to pay the bills so this fundraiser has now been created to help support his now widow wife Leandra. The costs are to go toward helping with the many medical bills that were incurred due to Tanner's mental health and to help with the memorial/funeral services.
There are no plans to do anything extravagant, but we do wish to not burden Leandra with ongoing expenses when the emotional weight is heavy enough.
If you're able to donate we invite it, if not then please send your loving thoughts to a heartbroken family now working through what just took place.
