This is a tough and very unexpected post but here we go....
It is with a very heavy heart, that we say goodbye to our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, to so many. Tanner wasn't just my nephew, he was my best friend.
At 7:05 AM yesterday morning, I received a call from Myles stating that Tanner would not wake up. He called 911 and an ambulance was at his house within seven minutes where they administered 3 doses of Narcan and was taken to Sauk Centre Hospital. Once stabilized he was airlifted to St Cloud, once all of his tox screens came back along with so many other tests he was diagnosed with diabetic keto acidosis (There were NO drugs in his system) unknown to any of us he was type one diabetic and his condition went untreated . The doctor described his condition, as the inside of his body having a complete acid bath, he coded twice within the first hour of being here and was resuscitated both times, he was incubated and they began starting dialysis shortly after. His poor body could not handle the damage that was caused and at 2:50 am this morning our LORD has called upon him and brought him home .
Tanner, we are going to miss that smile and giddy personality of yours along with your generous and giving nature. You would have given the shirt off your back as well as your last dime to anyone in need. Lol... you know how many times I'd watch you leave the house with your $1500 paycheck and come home broke?? It used to make me so mad, but that's just the kind of person you were. Your generosity and willingness to help anyone in need has never gone unnoticed.
As I write this, I struggle with the right words, I'm not one to ask for anything, but this is not something that my family is mentally or financially prepared for. I humbly ask for any donations to help with giving Tanner the send off he is so deserving of. I'm also asking for prayers for my family and for all of Tanners friends, so many of you were so much more than just friends, you were also his/our family and we appreciate the friendship you've given Tanner over the years.
Thank you so much to the entire care team, from the paramedics, Airlink Staff, All of the Drs and nurses in Sauk as well as St Cloud and may I not forget the Chaplin who offered us so much comfort and prayer.
Not sure where we go from here... This is my 1st planning of a funeral and damn... it sucks!!! I'll keep you all posted, Xo Thank you!
