On September 17th Tanner (age 12) was in an ATV accident while riding with friends. After being evaluated at the Palestine hospital, Tanner was flown to Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Tanner had multiple required surgeries along with several emergency surgeries when he arrived at Children's. He sustained many major internal injuries, including a broken pelvis/hip front and back, requiring a pelvis external fixator, and a severed main artery in his left leg. Tanner is still needing to have many more extensive surgeries soon. Tanner is an athlete and active boy in many outdoor activities. With such a traumatic accident and recovery, Tanner and his family have a long road in front of them. Matt (tanners dad) is an army veteran working full-time while Rachel (tanners mom) is an active stay-at-home mother. Kynlee is Tanner's 14-year-old sister, who is also involved in sports. With the many unexpected trips for surgeries and doctor visits to Dallas, the family is now needing some help with all the unexpected expenses. Tanner has had some recent setbacks that have slowed down his body's healing and getting stronger.
We appreciate all the love and support shown to the family during this long process.
