Tanna Island Mission Trip
Donation protected
My first trip to Tanna Island, Vanuatu was in 2005 as part of a large medical team effort. It was on this South Pacific Island where God opened my eyes to see what it means to be hungry for the gospel. Since 2005, I have been blessed to return to Tanna as a part of three different teams serving, encouraging, teaching and working with my island brothers and sisters. My last trip in 2012 included a short stay on the adjacent island of Erromango. While in Erro, land was given by the chief of a village in order to establish a baptist church as an outreach of the indigenous baptist churches on Tanna.
In March of this year, Tropical Cyclone Pam devastated the two islands dearest to my heart. As expected, the physical and spiritual needs of these kind and loving people have increased exponentially. Feeling burdened to do something, I began praying fervently for God to reveal how I could be used. God is faithful to answer prayers! He has recently opened a door for me to help my brothers and sisters and ultimately make much of Him in the South Pacific.
I am planning to make a return trip to Tanna on May 27 for approximatley 11 days. Lord willing, we will also visit the island of Erromango to assist and encourage any way we can. The trip will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $3000. I've set the goal at $5000 with the intention that any amount raised beyond the trip cost will be used to purchase rice, other food and shelter items to sustain them through the recovery process.
If you would like to be a part of God's work in Vanuatu, there are two ways to do that: (1) Prayers for a successful and safe trip for our team. (2) Financial support through this site.
