Tanith's Nonbinary Body Affirmation Surgery

Heya, my name is Tanith K! I am a 35 y/o nonbinary and disabled artist and curator. I live with a sweet black kitten named Kenzie. I am currently seeking help with funds for body contouring to alleviate gender dysphoria (by extension body dysmorphia).

A large part of my gender dysphoria stems from the shape of my body and how my fat is distributed. I utilized HRT for one year between 2021-2022 in my attempt to grow a beard and instead received every single change I didn't want. Second puberty was not a kind experience (neither was the first one tbh) and ended up creating the opposite effect for me.

Couple this with my disability, the usual routes of exercise and diet are alone not sufficient. As much as it sucks, we are trained to recognize gender based on the shape the person across from us has and I got myself a lovely lady shape (I'm just not a lady, ope).

This procedure will enable me to have my desired shape, to become less curvy, and create a squareness to my body. My shape is often read as feminine and I want to at least make people hiccup a bit before misgendering me immediately upon looking at me. Insurance does not see procedures like this as "medically necessary" despite clearly helping folks of all gender experience mental ease and physical comfort after the fact. As such, out of pocket it comes.

Fat removal/shaping: $6,635

I have spent the majority of my life adhering to outside perspectives of myself. While I cannot stop people from perceiving me as a woman, I can at least find peace within myself by altering my body to become the gremlin yule lad I've always been.
