Please Help Us Take Tanisha Michele Triggs Home

Hello. I have started this fund raiser to help the Triggs family. They received devasting news and are in need of assistance and a lot of prayers.

Chris and Tanisha Triggs moved to Moore, Oklahoma from Ohio on June 15, 2023, to start a new chapter of their lives. They had been married 6 years and Tanisha was fighting breast cancer and in April 2022 they felt a change would be best for the family and Tanisha's health. So, they waited for their daughter to graduate from high school, sold their house and moved to Oklahoma.

When they first arrived, things were going great. They found a house, Chris found employment, and everyone was settling in nicely and Tanisha's health was steady. On July 4, 2023, Tanisha noticed a weakness in her left leg. After numerous doctor visits they were told Tanisha had enlarged tumors on her legs. The tumors eventually took her movement in both legs on August 17, 2023. Tanisha has continued to fight for her life but has experienced even more serious health issues since she lost her ability to walk. Chris was by her side every step of the way. He has attended every doctor's appointment, test, surgery, and consultation she has had. He adores her and would do anything for her but this time he cannot do it by himself.

In December 2023, it was noted on her Doctor's Chart that she had Leptomeningeal Disease. Chris nor Tanisha was informed of this diagnoses. They were told she had a tumor, but it could be treated with Chemotherapy. Tanisha had a port surgically implanted in her head to accept Chemo treatment to shrink the tumor. She has been in and out of the hospital for various reasons since December, but the main complaint is severe dehydration. They have not been able to give her the Chemo treatment because of dehydration. The insurance company made it difficult to get the care she truly needed approved. Which was a Home Health Nurse to give her hydration as needed and a plethora of other things. During all this time, the doctors did not tell Chris or Tanisha she had a Disease.

Chris was finally given access to Tanisha's doctor's chart in March '24. He found the notation on her chart about a disease and questioned the doctor about it on the next consultation on March 13, 2024. The doctor said yes, Tanisha has Leptomeningeal disease, and she most likely has had it for a few months already. That is when the doctor finally told him the disease was terminal. The survival rate averages 3-6 months with treatment. To this point, Tanisha has not had a treatment because her levels have to remain steady for a certain period of time and they have not been steady since her surgery.

It was 2-1/2 months ago they diagnosed her; at that time she had already had it for a minute. The average patient has 3-6 months with treatment. The treatment will now cause Tanisha more harm than good so there is not going to be any treatment. Her only wish is to be buried in Ohio with her parents and siblings. Chris has handled everything for Tanisha but needs help with this last wish. Tanisha is too ill to travel; so they cannot return to Ohio now. Had Chris known the prognosis, they would have returned to Ohio in December. Now it will cost him in excess of $10,000.00 to get Tanisha home to Ohio. This news has broken his heart and almost his spirit. He has not told Tanisha. He does not want her to just give up. Every second they have left together is precious.

Please, if you can find it in your heart, help this family meet Tanisha's last wish. Chris would never ask for help even though they desperately need it, so I am pleading for him. It would remove a huge burden on the family if Chris could take her home.
