Tanis’ Cancer Fight Journey - help us remember her
Donation protected
Over the last two and a half years, Tanis bravely battled cancer with the love and support of her family, friends, and community. We are grateful for all of the contributions, both big and small, that helped her during her journey. From GoFundMe donations during round 1 to t-shirt sales and the outpouring of love from those who provided food and support, we cannot thank you enough for being there for her.
Sadly, Tanis's journey came to an end this past Sunday, at the young age of 46. She was a loving wife, step mom, Aunt, Daughter and sister.
(Unknowingly, Tanis’ last family photo this past Christmas on her hospital “day pass”)
During her battle, she found solace in running her daycare, being with the children she loved so much. Tanis was also a committed Dance mom to her step daughter. The dance community was her solace and escape during her battle with Cancer, Tanis truly thrived as a part of the dance family.
(She loved being a dance mom and everyone at RDC and the memories made with Cam)
Her energy and love for life will be greatly missed, but her spirit and memory will live on through those she touched.
It is unfortunate that someone as loving and full of life as Tanis should have to endure a battle with cancer, but it is even more unfortunate that her and her husband, who were both running small businesses as sole proprietors, were unable to secure life insurance due to the extreme high rates. Tanis lost her battle this past Sunday, but she will always be remembered for her strength, courage, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind her husband, three step kids, brother, nieces, parents, friends, and two beloved dogs.
As we grieve her loss, we ask for your support in helping her family navigate the unexpected costs that come with such a loss. Any contributions, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
(Last trip to AB to see the Mountains mid fight).
We invite you to continue to support her husband and family as they honour her memory and work to heal.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
