Tango Music Coach is an initiative by Mariano Laplume, passionate tango lover, former Sexteto Milonguero musician and professional dancer. The project aims to help social tango dancers deepen their understanding of tango music and therefore enjoy dancing to it more.
In a series of Seminars & Webinars Mariano explains and integrates some of the main elements in tango music, musician’s terminology & the concepts behind the terms. He also gives practical resources to social tango dancers to enhance their appreciation of tango music and improve their rhythmical precision and expression.
With examples of the “Golden Age” era of tango (and beyond) orchestras, footage of professional musicians and sometimes well known international guests musicians, Mariano explains the Rhythmic & Expressive complexities of tango music.
The sense of tempo, base rythmic patterns, phrasing, texture, melody & articulation are some of the key structural elements developed in the Seminars and Webinars.
