Tango Etnia in quarantine (covid-19)
Donation protected
We are sad that we had to cancel our classes and Milongas and we are missing you all already! But we remain confident that this decision will benefit all the community (tango and beyond) in the long run and particularly the most vulnerable.
As many of you may know, most professional Tango dancers, teachers and organisers are self employed and we are not covered in this kind of emergency. We have to meet in advance the costs of venue and equipment hiring for several weeks or months, on top of loosing income for an unpredictable period of time. This places all of us in a difficult position.
Students and milongueros have been already amazing offering their support and help and suggesting this initiative for them to be able to collaborate in a practical and transparent way. Each and every effort will be appreciated and we'll be looking forward to many forms of thanking you for your loyalty and kindness.
