Tangi’s Vet Costs for Urgent & Ongoing Care
Donation protected

This is Tangi — my 9-year-old pit mix and my heart on four legs. last night she almost crossed the rainbow bridge; and now I want to do what I can to make sure she doesn’t for as long as I can.
Due to an ongoing undiagnosed UTI, severe dehydration, and a dangerously weakened state led to an emergency vet visit that saved her life. She’s now on antibiotics and slowly recovering, but this was a major wake-up call. Tangi needs consistent, long-term care to prevent this from happening again.
I paid for the emergency vet visit out of pocket — using most of money I’d finally saved to fix my car. That car is my only way to get her to future vet appointments, since I live a few miles from town with no Uber, no buses, and no backup transportation most of the time. It’s just me and her.
I’m not just hoping for a quick fix — I’m actively getting her set up with a local wellness plan and exploring pet insurance to cover her care moving forward. But the upfront costs for follow-up visits, lab work, and meds add up fast, and the car still needs repairs if I want to keep showing up for her the way she’s always shown up for me.
Your donation would help with:
• Reimbursing the emergency vet bill so I can repair my car
• Scheduling her next vet visit and long-term care planning
• Getting her on a wellness plan and insurance before anything else goes wrong
Here’s where your support would go — I’m including everything I know so far:
• Emergency Vet Visit: $1,500 that I had saved for my car to be repaired
• Car Repairs: $1,200 (Essential for transporting Tangi to and from appointments)
• Wellness Plan:
• $65 initial setup fee
• $45/month ongoing
• Pet Insurance (Estimates):
• ~$140/month
• $750 annual deductible
This is just the beginning of her long-term care plan. With your help, I can make sure this never gets this close again.
If you can give, even a little, it would mean the world to both of us. And if you can’t, sharing this helps too.
Tangi’s been by my side through thick and thin — now I’m doing everything I can to return the favor.
Thank you for reading and caring.
