Tanesha is nearly 5 month post heart transplant recovery is a tough long road she's doing well heartwise is stable but the anxiety, nausea n pains still ongoing could be meds side effects or down to anxiety who knows now she's able to walk longer than before she wants to visit lots of places she couldn't go before but as a single mum living hand to mouth it's impossible I've kept this gofund up to try help her fulfill some of her places she wants to go x
Hi I'm Amanda and mum to 4 my 3rd child tanesha is now 12 she was born with a congenital heart defect and required open heart surgery at 5 weeks old she had post op heart block sepsis and nec after 10 weeks in hospital she went home and did well until she was 18 month old and the heart block came back requiring a permanent pacemaker she's had 4 pacemaker surgeries throughout the years one been an emergency one in 2015 when she stopped breathing in her sleep she's had a few other medical issues and been in and out of hospital but just got on with it but as we went into lockdown in March 2020 she started to deteriorate getting breathless when walking, pains everywhere, blue lips and struggling to eat more than a few bites at a time so when she had her new pacemaker in September 2020 they did a TOE test that showed the left side of her heart was very enlarged and a moderate /severe mitral valve regurgitation and poor funtion Leeds wanted to do a bioventricle pacemaker and valve replacement but there surgeons deemed it too high risk for her so I had all her scans ect sent to the freeman's, in Newcastle they then had a meeting and said they now want to assess her for transplant and do any surgery interventions needed this has all come as a shock as it wasn't expected we had been shielding for over a year and travel to and from the freeman's for sibling visits ect is going to be hard and expensive it cost me £250 for the 3 days my daughters came up for taxis, food, train Travel and we can only do this every 7 or 8 weeks due to cost as I'm a single mum so I've set up this for help with travel, food
and help try make some memories for my beautiful girl as and when we can through this next step in our chd journey
