Series Synopsis -

 

Lourdes Thibodeaux is an accomplished, beautiful Black and Japanese woman, and is so sure of herself…until she isn’t. Her primary focus is picking up the pieces to a puzzle that she didn’t even know existed, her identity. With the help of her parents, her best friend Elise and a sweetheart of a guy, named Genzo Andrade, she embarks on the ultimate search for self. Does she really want to know who she is?

 

While helping her best friend Lourdes navigate life, Elise (Hediye Elise) has taken her toes from the kiddie pool of IG, to the catwalk and the billboards. She has plenty to keep her busy, balancing love between Pharaoh and Beatríz Cruz is not for the faint of heart, but she has the glow and will not let her goals be derailed. What’s really worth it?

 

It’s easy to imagine all great artistic minds, as tormented, but not Pharaoh L'Ouverture. He’s the artsy zen one in the group. His focuses are creating and that’s it, but the rest of the city thinks he is “pimpin’ all ova the world”, due to his longtime polyamorous relationship with Elise. He hadn’t done much dating, as an adult, but he is now feeling some energy shifts between he and his good friend, Dafni. Can he and Elise handle a shift in their dynamic?

 

Spinning in a self imposed prison of isolation, Dafni Byrd is recovering from an abusive marriage and trying to raise her son right. Her sacrifices have taken her from living the “good life”, taking trips and wearing all of the finest brands, to sleeping in her old bedroom at her mother’s house. She’s also about to get on the craziest emotional roller coaster ride of her life…taking 6 y/o Ochoa, right along!

 

The incessant desire to solve a decades old mystery, build a career that you have wanted for so long, beat the odds at love and build a new life…these friends and the people who love them, are seemingly ready to take their goals by the horns, shaking things up and risking it all…just for an answer to the question…
