Help Tamsirr & his siblings in Gambia

Hello, my name is Rayana and I am currently sponsoring this family who have reached out to me from Gambia and would like for you to help us.

My friend Tamsirr is only 17 years old & has stopped attending school as there is no one to pay for the education fees. His father’s job was to collect firewood from the forest to sell at the market. However the government has recently banned this and if he is caught he will be taken to prison. As for his mother, she used to own a small farm where she would grow and sell vegetables in the market. It is no longer safe to work there and she has become old and too weak to work.

Tamsirr plans to take over as the breadwinner of the family when he is 18 years old, yet he is unable to do this without finishing school as the government doesn’t allow it.

Now his four younger siblings will need to drop out as their situation is getting worse.

They lack the adequate funds for even food and have gone 3 days without eating good food. Their home life is suffering with rain constantly leaking into their rented house. It is 6 people sharing a one bedroom home so already there is no space.

Their main issue is food, water and clothes so please if you donate even a bit it would be greatly appreciated just to make their lives a tiny bit easier. No one should have to go through such unfortunate circumstances.
