IDEA Exchange Tampa

IDEA Exchange Tampa began operating in January 2021. With the premise of providing new syringes in exchange for used ones, IDEA Exchange Tampa envisions health equity with a mission in increasing access to the tools necessary to keep people healthy, especially those who are most vulnerable. Operating in partnership with The University of South Florida and Tampa General Hospital, IDEA Exchange Tampa is the second syringe exchange in the state of Florida. Besides its primary function of providing new syringes in exchanges for used ones, the exchange hosts many auxiliary harm reduction services to reduce the spread of HIV, Hepatitis C, and other blood-borne diseases. 
IDEA Exchange Tampa depends on grants and donations to continue to provide these services to the Tampa community.
