Tampa Bay Krewe Rugby is going to Nationals!

The Tampa Bay Krewe Rugby Football Club is going to the Sweet 16!

After a hard-fought regular season, the Krewe has defeated the 5-time defending champions to win the Florida Rugby Union premier state title! This victory has given the Krewe a berth in the Division 2 National Championship Round of 16. This means that we are only four wins away from a national championship!

We have created this fundraiser to raise the money necessary to pay for lodging and transportation for our upcoming games. We have set our fundraising goal for $6,000 because that is the calculated cost for three vans and hotel rooms (4 players per room) for the weekend. All players and coaches are responsible for their own flights and food. 100% of the money received will go directly to paying for player-related expenses.

We will be traveling to Houston, Texas on May 6th to play our round of 16 match on May 7th and our subsequent quarterfinal match on May 8th. We will be playing at Aveva Stadium, home of the Major League Rugby Houston Sabercats. If victorious, the Krewe will head to the final four at the end of May.

Our success this season has been the result of the hard work of the entire Krewe family. We are ecstatic to have brought the state championship to Tampa Bay and will continue to train hard to bring home another National Championship!
