I was hoping not to need a GoFundMe! But, government mistakes take a while to remedy. I am Tammy Jordan. I am the widow of Ken "Pooh Bear" Jordan.

I am trying to make enough to pay the bank Ken's death month benefit. Little did I know, the Treasury Department takes the veteran's last check back if he dies, even one day short of the calendar month. So does SSDI. Because these monies were used for Ken's bills, there are insufficient funds to reclaim these payments.

They also think we weren't married at Ken's time of death! I have zero income and my bank account is frozen! I can't even check my balance! They are treating me like a robber!

As I am 100% disabled, I cannot jump up and get a job. I wish I could!!

All I need is to keep the home that I worked SO HARD to secure for Kenny, me, and any family who need a place to feel safe and comfortable.

Kenny passed February 21st. They have had my account frozen since the beginning of March! If it weren't for my wonderful family, I would not have been able to have him cremated. Nor would I have been able to eat or keep my power on.

There is still a $3,000 balance at the cemetery that MUST be paid before I can follow through with Kenny's last wishes and bury his remains next to his mother. And $4,900 that the Treasury wants before they give me my benefits!

I am more than humble and embarrassed that I ask for your help at this time. I'm between a rock and a hard spot.
