Tammy's Road to Freedom: Give her the gift of mobility

Our dear friend Tammy is facing the challenges of ALS, a devastating disease that has taken some of her independence. Despite the incredible strength and spirit she shows every day, her mobility is increasingly limited, making it difficult to enjoy the simple pleasures many of us take for granted. Tammy dreams of independently exploring our beautiful metro parks, attending vibrant local festivals, completing errands, and truly experiencing life year-round in Columbus. To make this dream a reality and regain a vital sense of independence, she urgently needs a wheelchair-accessible van. It will cost at least $48,000 for the van. Fortunately, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities will pay for the cost of adding the accessibility features to the van. ALS is an incredibly expensive disease Tammy has incurred different expenses due to the disease.
