Tammy's Fearless Journey

Hi, on behalf of our family we would like to share the story of:
Tammy's Fearless Journey.
On Friday, April 28th, 2023, Tammy & Scott (our dad) were on a weekend trip in Georgia. Tammy had a very unexpected incident that led to an emergency room visit including a Cat Scan/MRI to confirm she didn't suffer from any head injuries. Upon receiving the results back from the MRI, the doctors informed us that she had "an area of concern" on the frontal right lobe of her brain. It was recommended she followed up with a local neurologist. They decided, due to the seriousness and concern of what they saw, they referred her to Shands Hospital at The University of Florida in Gainesville. After several weeks of testing, it was confirmed she has a Glioma tumor on her brain.
As I (Brooke) am typing this, Tammy is currently undergoing a 5-6 hour surgery to get the tumor removed from her brain. After the surgery is completed they will send a biopsy off to determine if the tumor is benign or malignant. These results will take about a month & Tammy will have a long road to recovery. We are hoping this recovery time will be about a month but during this process, she is unable to work leading to no income.
We have been overwhelmed with support and kind words already. Anything you feel led to give would be impactful during this life-changing event. Our family will continue to stand on our Faith and the word of our Mighty God. We believe he will see her through this with a miraculous recovery. To God be the Glory.
