My name is Tammy Megee.
Mother of two amazing – children Mackenzie(15) and Drayton(12). Wife of the most positive husband in the world.

I have been a  Tennis Player, Tennis Coach – Non Smoker – seldom drinks, albeit a little more road rage than most – would never of thought in a million lifetimes I would be diagnosed at age 44 with cancer.

I was recently diagnosed with "Double Hit" Stage IV DLBCL. or as my Husband now refers to it as

“El Cancer” - #deadpool

A simple trip to the E.R. in Tomball, for shortness of breath, warranted an Chest X-ray, which led to a week stay in the hospital in Tomball – with no answers, then after a follow up with my Doctor in Magnolia, I was told I have cancer.

I was then asked if, I wanted to be referred to a oncologist or did I just want to go to MD Anderson.

To be honest, there wasn’t much thought – there were questions tears and frustration.

Of, course I want to go to MD Anderson, as if there were ever a sillier question. Regardless, we scheduled an appointment and made the first step in this journey to fight cancer.

On November 21 – 2016, with Dr. Westin’s and his Team  - "Diagnosis was Confirmed" -  I have "Stage IV DLBCL - Double Hit" Two treatment plans were crafted.

"Option A", be admitted immediately into Dr. Westin’s E.R.  and begin Chmeo Threapy Immediately.

"Option B", Become part of a new clinical trial  8 21 day cycles, with the first two cycles being outpatient and the 3rd – 8th Cycle being between 5-7 days of inpatient with two follow ups a week after the first 5 days.

[8 x 21=168 days if there are no unforeseen complications.]

So, I am offcially, CP-#12 or Cancer Patient #12 in Dr. Westin's - Clinical Trial.

On 12/20/2016 I began Cycle II

(Day 9 of 21 as of 12.29.2016), a

Offically  the first  of many "Hospital Bills" have started coming in. Today, roughly $70K due to Tomball Regional Hospital and about $6K in unpaid medical with MD Anderson... and counting...

Cycle III begins in January of 2017 -

The start of the 3rd - 8th cycle will have me out of work a minimum of 30 full days + 12 additional days between my estimated 24 (4 half day visits x 6 Cycles).

don't forget daily rate parking

$15.00 a day @ MD Anderson

($54.00 x $15.00) = $810.00

parking January thru June of 2017.

And then there’s the medication, gas - - you know the intangibles that list that is never ending…

With that being said, we are on our way and so far so good. My coughing is under control, my breathing is getting better – and – currently we are fighting nausea and my lack of appetite.

Regardless – there’s a lot of expenses – we can’t plan only guess and paychecks we can’t count on but hope, we will have enough to meet the minimums of the bare necessities.

I have Stage IV DLBCL "Double Hit" - or as the textbooks call it - the more agressive of my type of cancer. – the only option is treatment. This not a problem we can fix with hugs and prayers alone.

We need all the support we can get.

With that being said, we also need your help – your donations.

We appreciate all the hugs and prayers, but we need your help!

 Every bit helps!

For those that have had cancer, we (my family) – I (personally) understand.

For those, without I pray and hope you never endure any aspect of diagnosis, treatment or loss.

This will be the fight of my life, per my onocoligst and dedicated team.

Thanks Thank you in advance, you will never know how much it means, to me – my husband or children – but you are really SAVING MY LIFE, with every donation  - every share – every prayer!

 Thank You !
