Tammy Lane ... or Tammy Lucero or Frenchpants ...
We in the Blythe community, especially those of us who remember the heyday of Flickr, dolly 365 groups, and the early Blythe Doll community are saddened at the loss of Tammy Lane.
She lived courageously. Tammy was real before real was fashionable. She was punk rock to the core of her being.
Tammy crafted everything in her life with great authenticity whether it be her crafting and art, her journalistic photography or the stories she would share about her family. She was a true individualist possessing a perfect mix of humility, humour and pride. She adored her three kids Elka, Holly and Troy. Her passionate love for her husband and partner Marc was abundantly clear. Tammy was a force to be reckoned with and I was lucky to have known her.
This is how she shared her news - in true Tammy style. Balls out and to the point:

a month later she wrote this:
"THANK YOU TO EVERYONE OF MY FRIENDS ON HERE....
One month in the hospital...surgery got a big chunk of the colon stuff and part of the liver stuff. They also found metastasized lung....they are waiting for the surgery to heal up before they start chemo. I was being patheticly weak and sad, but i am now mad as hell....this shit is not me....it has a mind and it was sneaky hiding inside me but we found it.....it cannot hide anymore, and i am going to go punk-rock on its ass....its outta here man, it cant take me from my family---i wont let it
"Let fury have the hour, anger can be power
D'you know that you can use it?" JOE STRUMMER
Fuck you, man....i am not a gracious host and you have no fear to feed on here."
But after fighting bravely and optimistically her family had the worst of all possible news and her time was limited.
I knew Tammy well enough to know she would never ask for help but I also know she'd be there first to help others whenever she could. I know a lot of you will agree it would be nice for us to show her family how much she meant in our community by helping to pay some of the expenses caused by her illness and hopefully make a dent in the funeral costs. Tammy's illness has had enormous emotional and financial repercussions for her family. Together we can do something more meaningful than flowers. I was lucky to have encountered (and embraced) her in real life and she was every bit as spectacular as she is online. Internet friends ARE real friends!
Please make a donation if you can, everything counts. Please share a story either way and sharing this campaign will really make a difference!
RIP you beautiful soul.

P.S. You have a choice of how much 'tip' to give to gofundme itself. You can choose as little as zero so all but a 2.9% payment service fee will go to Tammy's family.
