Every now and then you meet someone special. A friend you know is going to be there through it all and they are.
And then you have to watch that person get hit hard by fate. Tammy is that special person. A fighter for those she loves and cares for, selfless, and endlessly generous. Someone that always has a smile for you even if she is not feeling so good herself.
Tammy got diagnosed with breast cancer in Summer 2018. Initially things were looking simple. It had been caught early! She would get surgery and after recovery she would be able to go back to work and her life. She worked right up until the day before to make sure all was in order for her colleagues and workers at her job. That is just who she is.
Surgery went well and she is currently in recovery from that.
Now, though, things are getting more challenging. Her outlook is still very good but it will take longer to take care of everything and heal properly.
Her doctors are implementing an aggressive long term treatment to ensure full recovery and prevent recurrence.
That means that she will be out of work for much longer than anticipated and she and her family will need help covering the expenses of upcoming travel for surgeries and treatments, and, most importantly, the loss of income.
Her family is running out of financial reserves quickly and can use all the help they can get.
Tammy is a woman of faith and walks this journey with deep conviction in her heart about the positive outcome.
So we are reaching out for help to support this amazing woman and her wonderful family.
