On August 6th Tammy Miller had a tragic accident that led her to have multiple injuries including a broken neck. After 3 weeks in the hospital, 2 weeks of it in rehab re learning how to write, clothe, wash, ect thru therapy. She came home the end of Sept thankfully, being able to walk and communicate. Each day has been a new challenge as well as a fresh start for her.
Through it all she did not lose her sense of humor and that smile that she is so well known for. With her mobility not what it used to be, her safety is the main focus. Another fall could paralyze her or worse.
In lieu of flowers ect , if you'd like help, we thought a better use of funds would be donations towards repairs and or replacement of existing flooring, entry ways, areas to give her a smooth transition in and out of their home safely.
She is a rockstar and is working hard in therapy to get back her mobility that she has loss.
For over twenty years, Tammy Miller and her family gave to our Northwest Community. She started our very own Youth Football and Cheer Program that is in its 15th year. She also volunteered in multiple leadership positions while still working in the district and taking care of a family of three student triathletes. She also served on multiple levy campaigns. Their home housed & fed many a student in our district, the joke was "No" didn't exist in her vocabulary. They worked to make our community a better place to raise our kids. Now we have an opportunity give back to one of own.
