Tammy Maginnis Odell/Woolsey Fire

Donation protected
Team Tammy Maginnis Odell is a group of compassionate friends and family that want to help this Woolsey wildfire survivor rebound from the total loss of her home in Seminole Springs Mobile Home Community nearby Agoura Hills. On Thursday, November 8, 2018 Tammy was told to evacuate at 2 in the morning.  She was home alone and is disabled with a rare neurological disease called C R P S, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.  She grabbed a handful of clothes and important papers she had packed away.  From there she drove to Zuma Beach and stayed in her car until fire threatened there as well.  She then went on to Pt. Dume until the fire approached there.  She was roaming around for the next 24 hours with other fire evacuees, not knowing a single person but banding together. Later the next day she got the worst news, her home was totally destroyed by the fire.

Tammy settled in Seminole Springs in 1989 because the community was a beautiful rural escape from the hustle and bustle of the nearby cities. It is a rustic quiet mobile home community nestled in the Santa Monica mountains.  Both her children were born there and it was nice to have a safe place for the children to grow up.  It has a small fishing lake and its own community center where many of the family birthday parties, baby showers, and kid’s graduations were held.  There are many memories that were made there for Tammy and her children.

Tammy is a single mother living on a fixed income. She has two children, Bradly and Kelly Odell, both of whom are in college.  Bradly is studying Electrical Engineering at UCSB and is a senior this year.  Kelly was attending San Diego State studying Business Administration but had to take a leave of absence to recover from a serious illness she is still being treated for. She is hoping to return to school soon, but this devastation presents new anxiety as she wonders if she should leave her mom alone.

Obviously Tammy’s life has been turned upside down since she found out that her home burned to the ground, a complete loss.  While she is devastated and sad, her strong faith in the Lord is giving her hope and strength to fight through this.  Tammy wants to go back to Seminole Springs and rebuild as soon as possible.

Please help Tammy get back on her feet as she battles the financial challenges ahead of her. So that she can soon rebuild her home in the beautiful retreat at Seminole Springs.

Any money received will be used for immediate expenses as she gets herself settled into temporary housing, which is yet to be determined.

Thank you any and all that took the time to read this post and who will graciously fund her cause.
