Tammy Koller's Battle with Myxofibrosarcoma

Hi, my name is Mike and I have set up a GoFundMe for my mom, Tammy Koller. Tammy is an extremely hard worker and dedicated employee, working three jobs to help make ends meet. Many of you who know her, know her for her bright and smiley face, positive attitude, loyalty, faithfulness to the church, strength, and strong work ethic. I know her as my mentor, idol, role model and consider myself lucky to be able to call her Mom! One of the greatest joys in my life is being able to watch her and my son (Mikey) bond and develop a loving relationship together.
The history of Tammy's battle with cancer: About ten or so years ago Tammy was diagnosed with breast cancer that was successfully treated with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. She had been declared cancer free by her doctors! In late 2021 Tammy noticed a lump on her thigh. After many stressful tests and biopsies it was determined that the lump was cancerous. She was diagnosed with a rare cancer named Myxofibrosarcoma, a type of Soft Tissue Sarcoma. The surgeons were able to remove the tumor and followed up with 30 rounds of radiation. Tammy didn't waiver in her strength or determination, but instead used the diagnosis as motivation to get healthy and ensure the cancer did not return. After all, she had new reason to live a long and healthy life: Her grandson Mikey!
About a year and a half after surgery and many, many scans and tests, we got the news that we all dreaded, the cancer returned and this time it metastasized to her lung. This brings us to current time. Tammy is currently undergoing 6 rounds of intense chemotherapy Monday through Friday every three weeks. Because this chemo is so intense, we temporarily moved her from her home in NJ to live with us in Virginia so that my family could provide as much physical and emotional support as we could. The chemo appears to be effective so far, but Tammy still has a long road ahead of her with several more rounds of chemo, followed by radiation and then surgery to remove the tumor from her lung.
The treatments take a heavy toll on her body therefore restricting her ability to work any of her THREE jobs. Tammy's career of over 35 years as a bus driver offers her sick time but no option for short term disability and the sick time is quickly running out. Tammy's other two jobs unfortunately do not offer any paid time off.
This is where we are asking for your help! Tammy does not have the luxury of having a partner to help her bear the financial burden this cancer is putting her through nor is she able to utilize her work ethic to earn income at this time. We ask that you help her be able to focus on her treatments and beating this disease instead of being burdened by the bills that are piling up and quickly becoming past due. Me and my family are doing all we can to help her in any way possible, but we need more support.
Tammy, myself and our family are eternally grateful for any aid you are able to provide us at this time. Any amount will go a long way! We keep all of you in our prayers!

May God bless you and thank you for your generosity!
