Tammy Keesler and Family

Hi, the friends of Tammy Keesler are raising funds to help her and her family with medical expenses and travel expenses.

Our friend and Cuba, New York, hometown girl Tammy Keesler has been diagnosed with a very serious medical condition called portal hypertension, which affects the liver. The diagnosis came after months of hospital visits that began in early August. The official diagnosis finally came after she was admitted to the Cleveland Clinic’s ICU where she stayed for several weeks. She continues to receive medical treatment and faces many medical challenges ahead.

Her mother and brother have been by her side in Ohio, away from their support system of family and friends, since early January, helping Tammy through the difficult days and uncertainties of her condition. The family is trying to stay focused on supporting her and each other, but weeks of mounting medical, lodging, and travel expenses weigh heavily on them. Tammy is still hospitalized at Cleveland Clinic waiting to be transferred to a Rehabilitation Facility in Cleveland. She still has a long road ahead of her.
