Hello, I’m Victoria and I’m Tammy’s daughter. This GoFundMe was created in conjunction with her CaringBridge page to help assist in Medical bills and transportation for treatment.

Tammy was diagnosed with Stage III, High Grade Invasive Urothelial Carcinoma at the beginning of September 2023. This is to say she has bladder cancer that has spread into the muscle wall of the bladder. They also found surrounding lymph nodes that have been affected as well. According to a PET scan, the cancer has not spread anywhere else at this time.

Treatment Plan:

- step 1: ideally 4 rounds of chemotherapy. Each round is scheduled for 3 weeks at a time. However, this can get delayed and/or stopped for a variety reasons. This will largely depend on her body’s ability to handle it.

- step 2: Bladder removal. Tammy has a consult scheduled at the end of October at the M Health Fairview in Minneapolis to discuss going forward with step 2 after chemo therapy. We are unclear at this time of what all this will entail.

- step 3: immunotherapy. Ideally this would give her better results and teach her body’s natural immunity to kill off any further cancer cells that might pop up later.

With any type of cancer treatment, the risk for significant side effects are pretty high. She will have a long journey ahead of her, but she ready to kick cancer’s butt!
