We are devastated to announce that our beloved Tammy Sue has passed. She collapsed in her home on Saturday, August 15th, at just 58 years of age. She has been battling end-stage liver disease (ESLD) for some time, but her oldest granddaughter may have said it best when she uttered, "I'm not ready." We aren't ready. We aren't ready to say goodbye, and we know we aren't alone. Anyone who knew Tammy couldn't help but feel close to her. She had a way of setting aside herself and her inner struggles in order to locate the innermost needs of others. She was a wonderful listener, and a wise counselor. She loved fiercely. She loved the Lord. She loved her grandchildren. She loved her children. She loved her family. She loved PEOPLE. In the days since her passing, I've seen so many refer to her as their closest friend. And that is fitting, because that is how she made us all feel. She gave of herself until she had nothing left to give, and then she gave some more. While we find comfort in knowing where she has gone, we will miss her terribly down here. She left behind a huge void in more hearts than one, and we are all truly overwhelmed as we attempt to pick up the pieces. 

We are unfortunately also struggling to lay to rest her many earthly burdens. She leaves behind a large number of medical and other debts, alongside traditional expenses associated with a loss of this kind. If you are in a position to do so, the family would greatly appreciate your help in getting her to her final resting place. Any money you can spare will be used to help cover these earthly costs. Prayers are also appreciated.  

While we are admittedly in the midst of the COVID-19 heath crisis, we are attempting to plan a memorial so that all those who knew and loved her can pay their respects. As soon as we have more information about those arrangements, I will provide them here.
