Tammi Bratleys Leukemia Battle

Our warrior mom, Tammi was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-Cell ALL) on Friday, March 13th, 2020 after being rushed to the hospital emergency room and admitted to the ICU due to septicemia a few days earlier.  She has completed three rounds of chemo and is currently recovering before her fourth round in another two weeks.

Mom's leukemia cells are extremely aggressive and unfortunately, chemo alone will not cure her cancer. Her only chance of long term success is a Bone Marrow Transplant, so once she finishes the fourth round of chemo, she will be transitioning to Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto for the transplant. She will be hospitalized for 4 weeks in Palo Alto, and then be required to stay in the Palo Alto area (3 hours from home) for an additional 8 weeks of post transplant recovery.

As you can imagine, this is all incredibly expensive. We want Mom to receive the best care available from the most qualified nurses, doctors, oncologists, and specialists and we believe she's got an amazing team both at Kaiser and Stanford. While her insurance will be covering some of her costs, her copays and bills are starting to add up fast while at the same time she is unable to work and is applying for disability (delayed due to COVID), which will replace only a fraction of her income. Mom and Dad are going to have to pay for housing in the Palo Alto area while she's in the recovery period on top of covering their mortgage and bills at home in Lincoln, CA.

Momma Tammi is a warrior in the fight of her life and we want for her to be able to focus on retaining her strength and beating this horrible disease and not have to worry about having enough money for groceries and covering the mortgage or being turned away picking up her medication due to lack of funds!

Let me stress that we know this is a tough time for everyone and I hate asking for help, but literally anything you can give will be a blessing to my mom and dad.

Note: Also if anyone has an RV/Camper that they might be willing to lend to my parents for my dad to stay in during the 4 weeks that my mom is in the hospital having the transplant that would help a ton to keep my dad from having to make the one-way 3 hour trip on a daily basis.
