Update 3:

It has been a long time since the last update. There has been a lot of progress. We were able to keep Tamlyn in rehab for 3 extra weeks but are 5k in the negative. She is getting excellent rehab at home. Tammy is now walking with a walker in the house several times per day. She called me excited to tell me she walked with a cane today. Now that she has become more mobile, we need to modify the bathroom, front steps and back deck area with railings and ramps. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have a video of Tammy walking with a walker but I am unable to post it here. I’ve posted and tagged her in Facebook. Thank you again

Update 2:

Tammy was able to take 28 steps today. We have been able to keep her in rehab until Sep 28th. We need to get her an electric wheelchair as she cannot use her left arm enough to roll herself. She is getting stronger but it is time to bring her home. She will continue rehab at home. I will update next week! Thank you everyone for your prayers and donations.

Update: Thank you to everyone who has contributed and shared this fundraiser. We have been able to extend her stay at rehab until September 8th. She is working very hard and making improvements but is still is not able to lift herself in and out of a wheelchair. She broke her pelvis in 5 places and broke both her hips which required extensive surgery to repair. Her traumatic brain injury from the side impact, when she was Tboned on the drivers side, has improved beyond our imagination. We hope her occupational therapy will continue to help her improve. Hello, my name is Jackie Leaf and I am fundraising for my sister in law, Tamlyn(Tammy) Leaf. She was involved in a devastating vehicle accident on May 18, 2023. Although she has improved beyond all of our belief, she has a very long road to full recovery still. Her insurance has run out and the rehab facility is discharging her and neither my home nor Suzanne’s homes can accommodate her. She is homeless and requires full time care still. We need funds to cover more time at the facility and to make adjustments to our home to make it wheelchair accessible. Our family appreciates any help that you can provide.
