Hello my name is Tami Elder-Moyes. I am a 39 year old mother of two. Last June I was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer. Since that time I have been through two rounds of chemotherapy, rectal surgery and have battled numerous infections. Before I can truly say I am in remission, I will need to have a liver resection and an additional 14 weeks of infusion Chemotherapy. This will all start in the next few weeks at Providence Cancer Center in Portland, OR.
I am reaching out for help because I am not able to work in my current condition. Cancer has taken away my ability to hold down a job and I am stressed to the absolute max.
The social security I do receive only covers about 65% of my total overall expenses. I have reached out to numerous organizations for assistance but most of their funds are depleted as well.
As I mentioned above, I am a mother of two wonderful children. One of which still lives at home. Trying to raise a teenager under these circumstances is very overwhelming to say the least. Whatever money I do raise will be helping them as well. The money will also go toward medical supplies that aren't covered by health insurance, clothes, groceries and monthly rent at my apartment.
Lastly, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my story. If you can donate "great" if you cannot I totally understand. I am always in need of positive vibes, prayers etc...as well. I would not have made it this far without my loving boyfriend, family and friends. Thank you for your time and God Bless!! I WILL NOT STOP FIGHTING!!!
Sincerely,
Tami Elder-Moyes
