With deep love and sadness, our family is honoring the life of Tami Sevart, who passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 66 after a long and courageous battle with Posterior Cortical Atrophy, a rare neurodegenerative disease.

Tami spent her life caring for others, creating beauty in everyday moments, and making the people around her feel loved. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. One place that held special meaning for Tami was Shoal Creek Trail in Kansas City, Missouri. She loved visiting the trail and walking there with her beloved dog, Tillie, who brought her so much comfort and joy.

In her memory, we would like to commission a memorial bench to be installed along Shoal Creek Trail, as a lasting place of rest, reflection, and remembrance in a space she loved. Our hope is that this bench will offer family, friends, neighbors, and trail visitors a quiet place to sit, remember Tami, and feel the warmth and kindness she shared so generously throughout her life. Funds raised through this memorial fund will go toward the cost of the bench, installation, plaque or dedication, and any related city or park fees. If contributions exceed the amount needed for the bench, remaining funds will be used to honor Tami’s memory in a meaningful way, such as supporting causes connected to PCA awareness, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, or another tribute chosen by the family.

Tami is survived by her loving husband, Ric Sevart; her daughters Rachel, Melissa, and Tania; her son Christopher; and her five beloved grandchildren.
