Tami McEldowney: Cancer Overcomer

Tami is our sister. She is a daughter. A teacher. A helper. A giver. And now, she is a fighter.
For the last few years, Tami has been developing ovarian cysts. Her doctors could not determine the cause, and without coverage for surgery, she has had to just wait them out. Two of these cysts grew and burst, and though extremely painful, we all thought that was the end of it.
When the most recent cyst grew too large and was causing pain all around her body, Tami went to the hospital hoping they could do surgery and prevent another burst. After her exam, Tami was told the shocking news that her new pains were not from the cyst. They were tumors: one on her liver, one on her left lung, two on her right. She has been diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive ovarian cancer, and has started chemotherapy. We will continue to provide updates as much as possible.
Tami has poured her life into others as a teacher and preschool administrator. She also serves in her local church and adores her nieces and nephews. She's been sunshine even on our darkest days--and now is our time to give back to her.
First, Tami needs our prayers as she fights this battle. She herself said, "I have the best Physician--He made me and He will get me through this." Prayer moves the heart of God, and your time before His throne is the most precious gift you can offer. Please pray for her healing, her strength and joy, and for the Lord's will.
Tami also needs our financial support. Cancer treatment will be costly, she will have a lot of time out of work, and every dollar makes an impact. Please consider donating any amount to help Tami with her medical needs. All funds will go directly to Tami to support her fight against cancer.
