on Nov 15 my sister had a car accident; her car rolled; landed upside down and her arm was stuck underneath. She had a compound fracture with degloving of her arm. She also broke her clavicle, some ribs and fractured several vertebrae in her back. After being Air lifted to the nearest Trauma hospital they discovered these injuries and incidentally a mass in her right parietal lobe of her brain. After three days they did surgery and skin grafting on her left arm. After several more days they looked at her arm and it had become necrotic. During the time before they discovered this; my sister began to complain of pain and bruising in her right arm which was previously uninjured. They discovered a fungus had been injected into her bloodstream through her IV port. Because of this infection they cannot operate on her brain tumor. This fundraiser is to help our brothers care for her grandsons and for her medical care. She only has Medicaid and it does not pay for long term care. She will need 24 hour care for as long as she lives. She will need a prosthesis. We would also like to move her to Minnesota so we can monitor and help with her long term care.
