Tamara’s Battle With Neuroendocrine Cancer

Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Souls,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart, yet filled with hope. My dear friend, Tamara, is facing the most challenging chapter of her life for the second time.

In 2019, she bravely conquered her first battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer, a rare and relentless enemy that had taken up residence in her stomach. With her determined spirit and the love of those around her, she endured surgery to have part of her bowels removed, 6 months with an ileostomy, and emerged strong, ready to tackle the next hurdle in life.

Tamara has been a hard-working and dedicated single mother since 2007, and since then has been the sole provider for her girls, Shayna & Talia, who unfortunately lost their father in 2019.

In April of this year, Tamara had a complete hysterectomy, and at the same time, made many lifestyle changes to assist in her recovery, overall health and wellbeing. Unfortunately, it seems her health has only been deteriorating even further since, rather than improving, like it should be.

Sadly, this last week brought us the news that Tamara is STILL living with cancer, and that it has now spread to her bones and liver. Tamara has been living with pain, massive health concerns, and questions for the last 5 years, and is finally getting the answers she has been advocating for. This is one of those dreaded situations where the healthcare system has really failed.

Along with this diagnosis, Tamara has also discovered that she is living with degenerative disc/bone disease, which has been causing all sorts of other health and pain concerns.

Despite this, her courage remains unshaken. She is ready to fight again, but she needs our help. The journey ahead is fraught with medical expenses, treatments, and emotional hardships that no one should have to bear alone. This is why I'm turning to you today - to ask for your generosity and support.

Tamara is not just a survivor; she is a beacon of light whose warmth and kindness has touched the lives of everyone she meets. She is a loving mother and cherished friend. Anyone who knows Tamara, will tell you that she is ALWAYS willing to jump in and help someone out, no matter the circumstances - her strength is nothing short of awe-inspiring. As she prepares to wage war on cancer once more, it is our turn to stand by her side and be her pillars of strength.
