On Friday, April 28th Tamara’s son, Joel, was suddenly unable to walk or talk after suffering a terrible headache. She rushed him to the Emergency Room where, after a series of tests and scans, they determined he has a rare Autoimmune disease called ADEM that affects the brain and spinal cord. The doctors are hopeful he will recover, but the extent of the damage is still unknown. He faces a long road ahead to recovery.

This is an unimaginable situation for any parent to face; and those of you who know Tamara are aware that she lost her 4 year old daughter to cancer almost 10 years ago. Imagine being back in that same hospital with your sick son. It’s more than any parent should face. All of her focus is on taking care of her child. We want to help ease the financial burden she faces while her son recovers.
