In Loving Memory of Tamara.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and tragic passing of my beloved big sister, Tamara Michelle Ensor, who left us at the age of 27.

Tamara tragically lost her life in a plane crash while flying as a student during Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) training, as she worked toward expanding her qualifications as a commercial helicopter pilot. She was doing what she loved most—flying—and pushing herself toward the next step in her career with the passion and determination that defined her. (News report of the incident)

Tamara was so much more than a big sister to me—she was a role model, a fashion stylist, a hairdresser, a life planner, and my best friend. She was a bright soul and a light in our lives. She pursued her career as a commercial helicopter pilot with relentless ambition and passion. Flying was more than a job to her—it was her dream, and she chased it fiercely.

She was funny, loving, and endlessly caring. Her vibrant personality lit up every room, and her kindness reached everyone she met. She had a deep love for the outdoors—whether she was flying, paddleboarding, shooting, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature, that’s where she felt most alive.

As we grieve this tragic loss, we are also working to honour her memory in a way that reflects who she was and what she loved. Tamara lived life fearlessly, with ambition and heart. We hope to honour that spirit with a donation in her name to BC Parks—supporting the great outdoors that brought her so much joy.
