Talton Mitchell Memorial Fund

As most of you know dad has been sick for a number of years.  He never lost faith that he could beat this. Dad was always determined at to do anything he put his mind to.  I attribute my ambitious personality to all the lessons and examples he provided me throught out his years. 

We found out a couple of weeks ago that the cancer had moved to a stage that was inoperable. The Drs felt that they could prolong his time here with a new treatment. They were hopeful the treatment would provide him 2 more years with us. 

Unfortunately, the treatment did not work and aggrevated the cancer causing it to spread. The Drs decided to stop treatment on Thursday December 10th. We had no idea the  that we would only have 2 days to spend with him.  Dad passed away at home with me and mom by his side on Saturday December 12th early in the morning.

We all will miss him terribly.  We have comfort in knowing that he isn't in pain any longer and his soul is where he always said it would be.  Looking through his bible over the past couple of days has really shown me how strong his faith was. Even through all this he never asked why and just said this is just the beginning for me not the end. 

Due to the quickness of his passing we have set this fund in place to help mom with his final expenses.
