Talmud for my Synagogue

Donation protected

On January 5 2020 (8 Tevet 5780), the 14th cycle of Daf Yomi began. Daf Yomi is where Jews all over the world read one page of Talmud per day--the same page, the same day, together. Studying Talmud is so important for the Jewish people.

My synagogue, Congregation Sinai of San Jose, does not have a Talmud and so many people wish we could learn from one. As my bat-mitzvah project, I want to help raise money so that our shul can have its own Talmud that people can use for study. We talked to the Rabbi, and the edition we want to get is the Koren Talmud Bavli.

Thank you for sharing in my simcha by helping our community buy its own Talmud.

If we exceed our target, I would like to buy other texts for the shul, too. I would work with Rabbi Berkenwald to figure out the best ones to get.
