Taliyahs stage 4 brain cancer battle

Please take the time to read Taliyahs story below…. Taliyahs brother went to school with my son and so did Taliyah so this heartbreaking story is very close to home.

I know as a parent I would do everything and anything for my child, and the fact that Taliyahs brain tumour has now returned and is stage 4 is devastating to her entire family.

I will be running the Barnskey 10k on Sunday 29th June and all money raised will go to go directly to Sophie to fund alternative and holistic treatments to support her little girls battle with cancer.

I initially signed up for the run as motivation to get back into running and have been training and pounding those pavements in preparation, running doesn’t come easy to me but the race is nothing in comparison to the uphill battle that Taliyah is currently going through.

Any donation no matter how small would make the world of difference to this local family and beautiful Taliyah.

Taliyahs story…

Hi my name is Sophie, I am a mother of two to Tyde 10 and Taliyah 12.

My story started 7 years ago when my daughter Taliyah got diagnosed with grade 4 classical medulloblastoma and my whole world fell apart I didn’t know what to do accept listen to the advice I was given at the time and like mothers do, we do what we have to do at that time, so i followed procedures and straight away did surgery and that is when i always say I lost my 5 year old little girl. Taliyah didn’t come out of surgery the same as she went in, she came out with so many complications and problems. We then went straight onto intense radio therapy and the strongest chemotherapy available, this all made Taliyah very poorly. Taliyah has struggled this whole 7 years mentally physically and emotionally the whole family has too including her brother, it’s been tough on everyone. We finally got to a place we’re Taliyah and us as a family started seeing a hopeful future together and seeing happiness again, then on the 3rd of may 2025 we had the worst news that Taliyahs medulloblastoma had come back and chemo and treatment wouldn’t be a cure or option to help. Since been on my health and lifestyle journey myself this 7 years I have done so much research and educated myself massively I am a big believer in holistic healing and I am praying and believing that if I get this funded help I will and you will save/heal my little girl. I want to put every bit of funding to machines at home and monthly expenses and hotels when doing therapy in other city’s ect that have wanted to help too. I don’t want to put my daughter in any more stress so funding equipment at home is my goal.
