My name is Chelsey and I am opening this account to help my brother, Randy; his wife, Manee; their four surviving children, and our mom (who all live together) during this difficult time.

A Little Bit About Talitha

Talitha was born on April 28fh, 2020 with a rare genetic disorder called PWS- Praeder Willi Syndrome.

Luckily, Talitha has had a large and loving family to take care and support her from her fragile condition at birth.

Our family was blessed with her presence for 45 months. We've laughed, loved, and cried together as a family. We've shared so many beautiful and unforgettable times with her and we will always be grateful for that.

On Sunday, she started showing signs of a common cold that our other children had already experienced. Yet, she still remained playful, active and happy. Early Tuesday morning, around 2am, she woke up and began talking about some of her favorite foods like apples, bananas, and salad. Then, she recited the names of each family member and that's when Mom put her back to sleep and she never woke up...

We now know that this was due to an invasive Strep A virus. It has killed a number of people across Ontario.

Another portion about Randy that you should know...

Just prior to Christmas, the company Randy was working for, laid him off at the end of a project. My brother is extremely hard-working and it is not uncommon for him to do 14-18 hour days in construction. It was a heavy blow; and, meant that he was forced to immediately reconsider his family's future in Ottawa.

But, taking everything in stride with a positive attitude, he went to Toronto in search of employment opportunities.

Thankfully, there, he did find another job with a reputable company, however, this still means that he and his family will now need to relocate 5-6 hours away. After already experiencing weeks without pay and now, having not only the loss of a child to deal with, but also, the associated expenses of an unexpected memorial service.

If you feel that you might be able to make a contribution of any amount to help him at this time, it certainly would be greatly appreciated.

Conversely, you could also support my sister-in-law's organic soapmaking and all-natural products available through Facebook. Please look up Sanctuary Natural Farm at: https://www.facebook.com/SanctuaryNaturalFarm?mibextid=ZbWKwL

Thank you so very much for your kind consideration, compassion and care for our family.
