Talitha Koum

Dear friends and family of the Barker's,

 

Many of you have been wondering how you can support these two wonderful people - Samantha + Stephen and the painful journey they've had to endure with the loss of their beautiful little angel, Talitha, who was born and soon after returned to the Lord on Feb 8th.

There has been so much outpouring of love, prayers and support, and we want to continue extending our helping hand to cover expenses or any other financial needs during this very difficult time. Any financial support you can provide would be MUCH appreciated by this loving, selfless couple who give so much to us and the community at large. Asking for prayers. I’m in the hospital with my wife Samantha awaiting the birth of our first child and daughter Talitha Therese. It’s been a difficult month of slowly sharing that our little girl will not survive her birthday. It’s the sort of thing you want to share in person or at least speak over the phone if it’s the sort of thing you have to share at all. But right now I’m sharing this in the way I didn’t want to but I knew I would have to at some point.

 

Talitha is due May 24, the feast of Mary Help of Christians, but she is coming today. Right now she is alive and I can’t express how grateful we are for her little life, this little girl hidden within Samantha’s womb. But our hearts are broken and breaking because saying hello means saying goodbye. We don’t understand but God has already given us so much of His peace. Thank you everyone for your love and prayers.
