My brother, Talin was in a head on car accident on Tuesday, August 5. The car accident caused him to airlifted to Baylor Scott and White. Both femurs were broken. His right leg severely mangled with compound fracture that he needed a complete reconstruction of the femur. His tibia and fibula are also needing a complete reconstruction during another surgery at a different time. His right ankle and knee also need repairs. A team of doctors are figuring out what to do about his lack of skin and muscles from the accident. His left leg was a clean break in his femur and they already did surgery on that and put a rod in his femur, a pin in his hip and one in his ankle. He has already had three surgeries already, one debridement and the two leg surgeries. He is expected to have multiple more surgeries. Talin faces a long and difficult road to recovery, likely spending weeks in the hospital and will more than likely have to go to a rehabilitation center where he will have to learn to walk again. This journey will be physically, emotionally, and financially challenging, and we are asking for all the prayers, love, and support we can get as he fights his way back to health. They expect at the most a year long recovery. My brother is a quiet and private person and wouldn't ask for help but I'm asking. Anything would be a huge help.
