Hi, I'm Talie.
I am a trans woman, mom, aunt, fighter and activist living in Tx. I have advocated extensively for myself and other LGBTQ+ people online, within my company, and even in the state capital.
This surgery is as important to my well-being and feeling whole, as much as it’s for my physical safety. unfortunately, my insurance refuses to pay for my surgery, citing an exclusion policy that prevents me from appealing the decision. I've written letters to my corporate HR and looked at my financial options, and honestly at a loss. Begging for help was what I was trying desperately to avoid. But with the current political climate, I'm concerned that my window of opportunity is closing, and I need to act now. I know it's a lot, and I'm sorry, but if you're willing and able, help would be appreciated.
