Kenneth Tayler, the loving husband of Talia Martin and adoring father of their daughter Vera (born just four months ago), unexpectedly passed away on February 4th at the young age of 33. A budding entrepreneur and fitness buff, Kenny had recently embarked on a new career as a personal trainer. Tragically, while following his passion, Kenny collapsed at the gym and could not be revived. His passing came only weeks after the loss of Talia’s mother, Vernice Giles, who died at the age of 57 following a four-year battle with colon cancer.
This GoFundMe page was set up on behalf of Talia and Vera by Talia’s many friends and colleagues, who admire her determination and dedication to everything she touches. Talia (age 34), an extremely enthusiastic and valuable member of a research laboratory at the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia, demonstrates her passion for science and education every day. Seeking to make a better life for her family and to set an example for Vera, Talia recently returned to school to complete an associate’s degree and wants to continue her professional development by earning a bachelor’s degree. This aspiration is difficult to achieve for any working mother and now, with Kenny’s tragic loss, the hurdles that face Talia have grown enormously.
