Talia Sofía Griggs

After two years of enjoying our marriage, we discovered we were expecting our sweet baby girl! Her name is Talia Sofia! She has already changed our lives forever.

It’s been 29 weeks of growing her and dreaming about her, but last Monday, on Oct 17th, she decided she wanted to come to meet us early. Sara was admitted into the hospital with an almost fully effaced cervix, 6 cm dilated, and baby is sitting very low. The doctors have been doing everything they can to stop labor, since Talia’s survival rate isn’t optimal out of the womb just yet; thankfully, labor has been stalled.

Sara is still having some contractions, but we believe that what God starts, He finishes, and against all odds, Talia will be born in His perfect timing. The doctors haven’t given much hope that she will make it full term but we’ve seen God move in bigger ways and we are praying we make it to 37 weeks!

There is a good possibility that Sara will need to remain hospitalized until baby girl is born, but there is a chance she will be sent home and placed on bed rest for the next 8 weeks, where she will need 24-hour care.

We’ve decided to reach out to our tribe and family so we can be covered in prayer, and we can share the testimony with you as it unfolds. But we also want to ask for your help financially since our lives have had to come to a complete stop. At this point, we are trying to prepare for everything but it is very overwhelming & unexpected.

We have had to make arrangements for our puppy, Joshua has had to and will have to continue to miss some work days, we still have rent and other bills to cover, and now adding meals outside of our home, etc.

We are also trying to prepare everything quickly for the baby, just in case she decides to come prematurely. If this is the case, we live 45 mins. away from the hospital, so we will have to find housing close to the hospital (possibly the Ronald McDonald house).
